Firkin Fête turns six this November. Alys Beach Crafted, the five-day festival built around it, turns five. That gap of one year is not a rounding error in someone's press copy. It is the clearest sign of how this week actually got assembled, and it tells you which night to protect on your calendar if you can only protect one.
Alys Beach Crafted runs November 11 through 15, 2026, spreading dinners, a walking tour, a cocktail tasting, and a free market across five days in the Amphitheatre, Central Park, and along the North Sea Garden Walk. As of late September, tickets are open for the dinners and the ceramics workshop, and several of those events are already capped at limited capacity. If you are planning around this one, the ticketed nights are the ones to book first.
Firkin Fête started in 2019 as its own standalone night: an evening of tapping 11-gallon firkin casks from regional breweries, where nobody, not even the brewers, knows exactly how the beer inside will taste until the keg is opened. It worked well enough on its own that Alys Beach eventually built an entire festival around it, layering in dinners, a market, and a cocktail tasting in the years that followed. That expansion is Alys Beach Crafted, and this year it is celebrating its fifth edition while the Firkin Fête inside it counts its sixth.
The practical effect is that Friday night, when the 6th Annual Firkin Fête takes over Central Park from 6:30 to 9 p.m. with live music from Scott T. Smith and dishes from chefs across the Southeast, functions as the fixed point the rest of the week gets scheduled around rather than the other way around. Everything else on the calendar, the songwriter session, the dinners, the architectural tour, sits in the days leading up to or trailing off that one anchor night.
The week opens Wednesday, November 11, with a 30A Songwriters Session at the Red Loggia at Caliza starting at 5:30 p.m., presented in partnership with the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County and built to carry the same intimate, story-behind-the-song format as the 30A Songwriters Festival.
Thursday, November 12, splits into three simultaneous dinners, each pairing a chef with a specific spirits or wine partner. At the Red Loggia at Caliza, Birmingham chef Rob McDaniel of Helen and Bayonet hosts a family-style dinner built around live-fire Southern cooking, with cocktails from José Medina Camacho of Adiós Bar and Salud Birmingham using Foursquare Rum Distillery spirits. At George's at Alys Beach, Chef Camille Withall prepares a multi-course dinner around Gulf ingredients, paired with cocktails from Nicole Greenwell of Pearl & Horn drawing on the Brown-Forman portfolio. At The Summerhouse at The Silva, Chef Drew Dzejak and the Alys Beach culinary team pair a dinner with Menagerie wines, served in a room hung with David Yarrow's photography.
Friday, November 13, is the busiest single day. An Architectural Tour along the North Sea Garden Walk kicks things off at 1 p.m. Cocktails & Clay follows at 2:30 p.m. at The Summerhouse at The Silva, where ceramicist Sarah Bumanglag guides guests through building two clay vessels while sipping a cocktail or mocktail, with the pieces glazed and kiln-fired afterward. Then Firkin Fête closes the day out in Central Park.
Saturday, November 14, brings the Spirited Soirée to the North Sea Garden Walk from 1 to 4 p.m., a progressive tasting where mixologists are paired with specific distilleries at stations along the path, so you can walk from one pour to the next and talk to the people who made it.

Wednesday through Saturday night requires a ticket. The Holiday Makers Market does not. It opens Friday afternoon from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the Alys Beach Amphitheatre, then runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the same spot, with regional artisans, handcrafted goods, and live music, plus the added detail of photos with Santa on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. That stretch of the market is the part of Crafted you can treat as a drop-in. Everything else on the schedule wants advance planning. This does not.
Proceeds from Alys Beach Crafted go to the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County, a nonprofit that has spent three decades functioning as the county's arts agency, funding programs and education across the region rather than staying inside Alys Beach alone. That same organization also backs Art Month South Walton programming each fall, which puts this one ticket purchase in Central Park into a wider circuit of arts funding that reaches into other 30A towns, including Rosemary Beach down the highway.
Crafted is not the only thing on Alys Beach's fall calendar. Cars of 30A brought two days of automotive culture to the town in early October, and the contrast between that weekend and this one is instructive: one is a ticketed, 21-and-up program built around cars and design, the other is a five-day mix of ticketed dinners and one genuinely free market. Together they bookend a fall stretch that runs noticeably heavier on advance-ticket planning than the town's summer amphitheater season, where most nights are free and walk-up.
If you are mapping out which nights of Crafted actually need a slot on your calendar, the short version holds up: Firkin Fête on Friday is the night that was there first and the one the rest of the week still orbits, the three Thursday dinners are the ones most likely to sell their limited seats early, and the market that runs Friday afternoon through Sunday is the one part of the week you can simply walk into.
For anyone weighing what a week like this says about life in Alys Beach year-round, from a five-day culinary calendar in November to the quieter months around it, the Bellville Team is always glad to talk through what a season here actually looks like.
